It is with great excitement and pride that I welcome you to East Dover Elementary, where we view our school as an extended family. Our school family extends beyond our staff and students to include you—our students' families. As a child’s first teacher, your involvement is crucial to their success. We encourage you to engage actively in your child’s education by discussing what they’ve learned each day, providing a quiet and supportive space for learning at home, reading to them each evening, and participating in school activities. Your involvement in Parent Lighthouse meetings and volunteer opportunities greatly enhances our community spirit and contributes to a richer educational experience for all.
This year, the staff and students at East Dover will continue to strive for success using the Leader in Me Framework. Leader in Me provides a unique approach to integrating highly effective practices throughout a school’s culture. Instead of focusing on academic measures alone, Leader in Me embodies a holistic approach to education, redefining how schools measure success. This approach empowers educators with effective practices and tools to:
